Who you are contracting with. Survivor Buddy is operated by Epic Channels Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16566980, registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Reach us at support@survivorbuddy.ai.
Survivor Buddy is a preparedness assistant: an AI mentor grounded in published field manuals, a scanner that helps identify plants and gear, offline maps, and a library of written and filmed lessons. The manuals ship with the app so the core keeps working without a signal.
It is software and training material. It is not a rescue service, and it cannot summon help.
Membership is $19.99 per month or $149.99 per year, in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT, where it applies to you, is added on top. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel, and we will tell you before any price change affects a renewal.
Where you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, the purchase is made through Apple or Google, billed by them, and governed additionally by their terms. Where you subscribe on the web, payment is processed by Stripe.
You can cancel at any time. A subscription bought on the web is cancelled from your account page; one bought inside the app is cancelled in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — we cannot cancel those for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies — we cannot issue them.
For purchases made on the web: this is digital content available to you immediately, and where the law gives you a cancellation right for digital content, that right ends once we begin supplying it with your agreement. That is the legal floor, not our whole answer. If the app is not what you expected, write to us and say so — we look at every request individually. Nothing here limits a statutory right you have that cannot be waived.
Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login. You are responsible for what happens under it, and you should tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.
Do not use Survivor Buddy to plan or carry out anything illegal, to harm anyone, to scrape or bulk-extract the manual corpus or the lessons, or to build a competing product or train a model from our material. Do not attempt to defeat the access controls. We may suspend an account that does; where the reason is not a deliberate breach, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
Buddy answers from published field doctrine and cites what it draws on, but it is a language model and it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Treat its answers as a knowledgeable starting point, not as a verdict — and check anything that carries real risk against the cited source.
The identification features are aids, not authorities. Never eat, apply or take a plant on the strength of a photo match. Deadly species resemble edible ones closely enough to fool a camera and a person.
Survivor Buddy covers first aid, medicine, wild plants, fire, water and radiological hazards — subjects where a mistake can hurt you. It is general educational material. It is not medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, a paramedic or the emergency services.
In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Where a lesson describes what to do when professional help is unavailable, that is what it means — unavailable, not inconvenient. You act on this material at your own risk, and you are responsible for complying with the law where you live, including on open fires, foraging, firearms and radio use.
The lessons, video, images, design and code belong to Epic Channels Ltd or are used with permission. The public field manuals the app cites remain the work of their own authors and issuing bodies; we cite them so you can go to the source. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app — it transfers ownership of nothing.
We aim to keep Survivor Buddy running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Online features depend on third-party providers and on your connection. Features may change as the product develops; if a fault keeps you out for a meaningful stretch of a paid period, write to us and we will put it right.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or data, or for the outcome of a decision you took based on the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Survivor Buddy is a brand. This app, our Academy and our books are independent products — buying one gives you no rights in another, and each has its own terms shown to you before you pay.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it applies to your renewal, and the date at the top always shows the current version.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
